Our Union operates under rules and regulations built and ratified by the membership. 

We are affiliated with Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) and the International Transport Federation (ITF).

A not-for-profit organisation, TEACHO, has been established to conduct training in the transport industry.  The TWU sits on the board together with employer and academic representatives. The company has an independent chair.

TWU Election E2018/141: Quadrennial Elections for all TWU Office holders were conducted by the AEC and held in October and November 2018. A copy of the AEC’s Post-election Report is available to any member who was eligible to vote in the election.
