The article "We smelled a rat in delegate sacking" written by Dan Cain on 20 July 2010 has been withdrawn with immediate effect.

The union was informed by Tox Free's lawyers that a series of errors were made in compiling this article, including the release of information that was confidential and should not have been disclosed.

The article also contained false and misleading information about Tox Free and alleged that Tox Free had acted unlawfully, which was not the case.

Dan Cain and the TWU apologise unreservedly to Tox Free for any harm and damage that the company may have suffered arising from the TWU's actions.
