Our Union operates under rules and regulations built and ratified by the membership 

We are affiliated with Australian Council of Trade Unions (ACTU) and the International Transport Federation (ITF).

A not for profit organisation, TEACHOhas been established to conduct training in the transport industry.  The TWU sits on the board together with employer and academic representatives. The company has an independent chair.

TWU Election E2018/141: Quadrennial Elections for all TWU Office holders were conducted by the AEC and held in October and November 2018. A copy of the AEC’s Post-election Report is available to any member who was eligible to vote in the election. A member who wishes to receive a copy of this Report may do so by either contacting the TWU on (02) 8114 6500 or contacting the AEC on (02) 9375 6364 or industrial.elections@aec.gov.au

Further the AEC identified a Rule that was difficult to interpret or apply during the Quadrennial Elections. An extract of this part of the Post-election Report as well as the TWU’s response are contained in the links below.
