Superman at your service

« Back to News Articles

Good day members,

As a recent addition to the TWU ranks, I have been asked to write a short piece
to introduce myself.

I joined the TWU at the end of January and have been inducted and mentored by State Secretary Tim Dawson and Assistant Secretary Paul Aslan.

I have a dual role which includes assisting our industrial and legal team and as the Super Liaison Officer (SLO) to TWU Super.

I work closely with Brendon Adams, Business Relationship Consultant for TWU Super in WA.

I am very fortunate to be a part of this great union, and have a fantastic team around me to allow me to grow and settle into this diverse and challenging role.

I am passionate about employee advocacy and the union movement in Australia; I decided to take the plunge and pursue study in HR/IR at Notre Dame University and make the career change I always wanted to.

I look forward to getting to know as many members as I can.

I am here to assist you with your super-annuation requirements incuding:

  • Providing general information, assistance to understand the various forms, update your details, roll over super funds, apply for TPD/Death insurance and income protection insurance.
  • Setting up transitional pensions & retirement pensions.
  • Rolling your old super into TWU Super to make it grow faster.
  • Explaining investment options and how you can change them.

I am not a financial planner; as such I don’t provide specific recommendations but I am here to help you make an informed decision based on sound understanding of the TWU Superannuation service.

Don’t be shy - please get in touch if you have any queries relating to your superannuation.

Cheers,
Joel 0407 802 190
