Our Prosegur Agreement expired in June last year and the last pay boost for the armoured vehicle operators was a 3.5% pay rise in January 2015.
Prosegar are dragging their feet on a new deal in an attempt to strip away all the guys pay and conditions and drive them into a shit deal.
Branch Secretary Tim Dawson and I met with the troops and stressed how essential it is that they unite and prepare to take the company on.
Weak membership is a sure way to enable the company to walk all over you.
We’ve also found out Prosegur is breaching the agreement by sending out two man crews during the hours of darkness.
A clear breach of our legally binding agreement.
Three man crews at night are for the officers who work those shifts. Prosegur is risking their safety with their cheapskate practices.
We will take that the issue up with the company and if they don’t sort the issue out we will go to the Fair Work Commission.
The driver’s log of log of claims was lodged with management last September but they are clearly dodging to get out of back pay.
Given the delays they have caused we will be demanding retrospectivity and back pay.
Prosegur are offering a laughable 0.7% increase.
They also want to abolish the drivers ATM and two-man allowances and pay all new employees less than current employees.
They want new drivers on lesser rates than soft skin rates.
The going is truly tough and I would like to thank our two great delegates, Eddie Andrews and Dean For their support.
