Find your lost super

« Back to News Articles Find your lost super

It has been compulsory to pay superannuation since 1992 – that’s more than 20 years.

Ask yourself, how many employers have you worked for in that time, and do you know what fund they paid your super into?

Chances are there could be superannuation - in your name - sitting in an account somewhere earning interest.

Think about it – if you had a heap of money in a bank account somewhere, surely you would want it in your name so you could get your hands on it.

After all, IT’S MONEY!!! So let us help find it for you.

With over $13 billion in lost super in Australia there’s no time like now to find super money you have lost.

And we’ll do the leg work for you!

With your permission, we can look for your super accounts through SuperMatch a search service offered by the Australian Taxation Office.

How do you do it – simple, just call Kristy Burton at the TWU’s Perth Office on 0408 993 020.

Kristy will explain exactly what needs to be done and help you through the process.

IMPORTANT: We’ll need your tax file number to track down your lost super. So make sure you have it when you call.

Then, if we find any accounts we’ll contact you and check if you’d like to roll some or all of these into your low cost TWU SUPER account.
