CFC have put out a new EA offer to vote on.

They believe that keeping the weekly pay and increasing their offer for an overnight allowance to $55.00 will SAT­ISFY its employees.

Consider these points:

● You are currently ENTITLED to be paid $82.50 EVERY night you are away EVEN IF you are put up in accommodation

● Their new proposal for overnights is IF they give you Motel Style Accommodation (a donger) you will NOT be paid the allowance

At the Fair Work Commission last Wednesday, Deputy President Binet asked the company will their latest pro­posal meet the Boot Test (BETTER OFF OVERALL) – Centurion claimed it does.

Because of this Deputy President Binet had to warn them again that any document they put forward would be vigorously checked to see that it complies.

CFC will still not address the other issues of your DG Bulk + Packaged and Oversize/Length allowances that should be paid when the work is done – instead they claim by paying you 70 CENTS above the award driving rate that covers them - CLEARLY they have an unrealistic assumption of the cost of living in this State.

The 70 CENTS also is to cover your 30% annual leave loading

NOT TO MENTION this also covers the 1 day per month PAID RDO you’re entitled to receive per the award to compensate for the nature of the work you do.

There are still outstanding claims that the company refuse to include such as:

● A guarantee minimum daily rate when doing Oversize (winter reduced daylight hours)

● The Pilbara Rate payment into the EA among others.

WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU to Vote NO, and the TWU will, as stated by Deputy President Binet in front of Centurion Management and the TWU, that if there is ANOTHER NO VOTE the TWU should seek her to ARBITRATE the EA to cover your wages and conditions.

You are entitled to much more than you’re getting. Vote NO and FIGHT for your conditions.
